We live in the age of instant gratification. Gone are the days of taking a position and sitting for a year or two until drilling, the current generation of new market entrants don’t have the patience or foresight, they’ll move on to the next hot stock at the first sign of consolidation. They’ll be wondering wtf happened when IVZ does 100% on seismic results and come piling back in, the tax man must love this new style of “investor”, it’s what we used to call “day traders”.
