You gave a good answer, so one of your thumbs up comes from me. As I am rather stingy with my approvals, so take that as half a dozen thumbs up. I too have a limited lifespan, being now 79, and although I think long-term out of habit, maybe I should not. On the other hand, I am a widower, and funeral shrouds do not have pockets, so I do not fret much about wealth, so I am very risk tolerant.

I had a slow read through the capital raising announcement today, and decided that the generic-risk part of it is over conservative, which confirms my view of just how conservative CCP's management is. From your background of investing in CLH and PNC, you should be better to judge CCP's relative conservatism than I can.

It is interesting that in the generic-risk bit of the Announcement, we are warned that charged-off debt sales could be reduced because of Covid-19, but in the specific-capital-raising reasons, it states:
    • Enables Credit Corp to provide sustainable debt purchasing services to clients.
    • Responding to increased supply – credit issuers reporting increased provisioning in anticipation of rising delinquency and charge-offs.
I was particularly concerned about the Manilla collections centre(s). There may be two if Baycorp had one there too. The Philippines operation was stated to be working at 60% capacity – better than I expected would be the case. With new reported cases of Covid-19 flattening in the Philippines since early April, that 60% should not get worse. Actually, if the Philippines now has 10,000 reported cases, that is .01% of the 110m population. The death rate seems very high, so I suspect the number of cases repoted is too low.

The new operations centre in Washington state may be more impacted than the one in Utah, but it is smaller. I expected the two US operational centres to have a larger time-zone difference, but maybe CCP has chosen to focus on a smaller catchment than the whole of the USA, so the one-hour difference makes sense.

On the SP, I have no strong opinions. Recent declines may be because some of the mob who got $120m worth at $12.50 want to make a quick buck. Also, those who want to apply for shares may need to sell some shares to have the funds to participate. Then there is the usual mood swings of Mr Market, exacerbated by the pandemic.
