I don't understand. AFAIK options held for more than 12 months qualify for the same CGT discount as the heads. So the reasons to convert these now are:
* they had only a short time to expiry
* a takeover wasn't expected prior to expiry
* they aren't listed and Dr T wouldn't have sold them even if they were listed.
Happy to be corrected; I'm not an accountant.
