He can't easily sell those off with his level of knowledge. He can exercise them without consequence. He has done this before, though, in what appears to be a show of faith to lift the spirits a bit. If the next news is at all negative and he was found to have sold off, it would be something even the ASIC couldn't ignore and it wouldn't be a slap on the wrist. Generally a good sign, I think, though again David has a history of flagging his confidence quite publicly to shore things up. It's also going to affect his voting rights in the upcoming meeting.
