Perhaps JB it is in the company's best interest to buy now rather than pay ongoing milestone payments etc. conditions of the original licensing 'contract'. And therefore eliminating an unnecessary third party from any partnering conversations.
CYP also adds the IP/patents to its portfolio.
We don't know the exact commercial terms. Unless you're on the board.
