Sophs were not privy to this information while the company was trading, though. It was after-hours that brokers started calling-around with this new information. Then the company went into a trading halt prior to the next trading day. There was no scope for insider trading etc. to occur.
Then the best part - the sophs bought in at 21.5c, while existing holders who participated in the SPP got in at 15.5c a month later!
