The more I read into Lev's letter to shareholders, the more confused I get. On one side his statements are critical of Rivas' past history and his recent statements to the market, but on the other he names every other director except for Rivas when it comes to their re-election (Lev is against) or a board spill. Is he for Rivas or against him being re-elected?
Don't forget that it was last year's letter to shareholders where Lev first called for Rivas to be appointed to the board. Only now is he researching Rivas' past and expressing concern. The demise of Repcol is not shock news and is widely known in the industry - in fact I made the connection in one of my earlier posts (Where is the CFO? - https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/where-is-the-cfo.3020789/) when I noted that the ex-CEO of Repcol (George Wilson) was one of Rivas' first appointments on taking over in 2016. At that time Lev was on the board of CLH. Why did he not ask these questions then?
