I agree @tomhagen - the call options and sale of debt does have the double impact of front-ending the revenue whilst reducing the amount of interest income that can be earned. The concern, as raised by Rivas in his first AGM is that selling off debt limits the amount you can collect in future years and so could have a negative impact down the track. This year has seen almost $16M of debt sold (either directly or through call options).
