All the firms in this sector are highly leveraged, except CCP, which makes it a much safer investment. I have forgotten the exact metric, but Encore's borrowings/equity is something like 2.5, and they brag about how low that is.

I am killing time in the wee hours of the morning. There is not much to get excited about the information below, but I'll paste it anyhow.

Wallet Wizard USA

I have not been able to learn if Wallet Wizard is available in US states other than Illinois, Missouri and Utah. However with respective populations (July 2021) of: 12,671,469; 6,168,187; and 3,337,975 that is about 22 million, compared to ANZ of 31 million, so these three states are not insignificant. It would be interesting to learn how more about the three Loan Books in the USA. And their relativity to CCP's Loan Books in ANZ.

Manila collections centre

CCP is still hiring in Manila for the US night shift, so it would be interesting to know how that is panning out. One would expect the usual ongoing hiring for ANZ occurs too.

If you look at https://ph.indeed.com/jobs?q=Credit...ati&redirected=1&vjk=b39719027c3418f6 you will see that 26,000 pesos is the usual monthly salary there. The night shift earns a 20% premium. 26,000 pesos is about $675. This in salary Manila is considered good, and would attract educated Filipinos who are fluent in English.

Staffing generally

Current general information states CCP hires 1,900 people (FTE). That is a bit more than the 1,840reported as at 30 June 2022. I imagine a fair percentage of the increase related to the Manila office. I suppose we should add the staff who came over from CLH recently.
