One of the oldest tricks in the books is to 'bring forward' a few sales into one quarter to boost the numbers. It happens in all industries all over the world.

I'm not saying they did, but be aware of the possibility that there are reasons why sales figures are not always what they appear. Thus the second quarter is the validation.
