During yesterdays video, LC mentioned that she had been working on this partnership for quite some time.
My guess is that it was IMU that approached Merck/Pfizer to do the trial.
Professor Dr Ursula Wiedermann most likely has contacts in Germany / Europe.
Perhaps Dr Ursula looked at a variety of approved drugs and decided that Avelumab (BAVENCIO®) offered the best potential combination.
