I haven't been on these threads for a bit. I see the rubbish statements persist. Where, since CUV has been making surplus profits would people have preferred them buy the stock then? LMAO:
On a price to earnings basis there has been no better value in its history. Posters rubbish this stock for not doing a share buy-back and they rubbish it when it does. The moral of the story? Don't listen to posters on HC who are negative when the sun is both in the clouds and out.
I normally despise share buy-backs. They should normally only be the foray of companies with massive cash surplus - once mature companies start doing them excessively I am starting looking for an exit on holdings, as they demonstrate a declining business return on capital.
However, sensible companies that retain capital on the highs for rainy days on frothy market highs (or even raise it - as MQG, who know the game, did on highs) and use it to buy-back undervalued stocks in less forgiving capital markets environments, which CUV clearly is, I don't mind.
