What worries me is days like today.
The sun is shining and the wind is blowing. Which is great for energy prices. But when the sun goes down, The energy prices spike and it goes through the roof.
What happens when the aging coal fired fleet gets turned off?
What happens to the gas price then?
What happens to all those jobs at Orica Kooragang and Tomago Aluminum?
Both sides of politics agree gas is needed to transition to net zero but yet the market operator AEMO say we have shortfalls forecasted in the near future.
We need gas to secure jobs and feedstock for energy in the future or we will lose these high paying jobs at Orica Kooragang and Tomago Aluminum.
