The Advisory Board started life in August last year following the sudden departure of the MD with around $21 million in funding to come up with a new development plan and financing alternatives. Despite the musical chairs, the cast remains the same and I remain unconvinced that anything of benefit came out of this additional expenditure.
I read an article in the AFR on the weekend about our "new" MD's continuing involvement with Indophil which now owns 100% of the Tampakan copper project in the Philippines following Glencore's departure. There was some conjecture that this asset may find its way back onto the ASX. The mind boggles with trepidation as to what happens when the music starts playing again.
