don’t agree with holding shares but you agree with linking it to getting free shares.

its exactly the same.. except in your case they try to do everything in their power to push the price up to get the shares, ie, new announcements, take over a company producing revenue, generally whatever stupid thing they can do to get the price or revenue higher depending on the KPI.

if they own shares then they just want the company to do well and will treat the company like they own part of the company. No stupid decisions
