man this sounds like such a shitty process. not sure if this is an option for you or not but in 2016 I flew to Sydney to setup an account at NAB so I could much easily participate in cap railings.
in the event of a refund the money goes straight back to my NAB account.
flying over for a holiday and to set up an Australian bank account has paid back in spades
