10k will get you about $200/qu or 800/yr, with the possibility of share price gains when interest rates fall. And a share price around 33% below last know NTA.
HDN REIT (retail focused) reported a very slight drop in NTA a few days ago. Barely more than a rounding error. With residential property prices apparently rising again, and CLW being more defensive commercial focused (not residential, obviously, and not a lot of office), I'm not expecting a dramatic fall in NTA when the figure is reported some time this month.
I will hold fire and pick up a small parcel if we see a "3" in front of the unit price. Hopefully we won't!
