I find hammers are more telling at the bottom of a downtrend to signal a reversal. Today was a bit of indecision, but there was a bullish harami formed on the daily, which could signal a move up again.
However, I'm also of the opinion that SP is being held down until options are issued, IMO only of course, so it might just hang around current levels for a week or two
