You don't back off when someone is trying to do something that appears illegal.
Take the lead - commence legal action.
Cannot believe that anyone would even consider bowing to the Chinese.

I would personally do something to them that I can't post on here.
But a much better course of action is to take them to Court if they persist with this idiocy.
