Luke's just done an interview here: https://watch.thewest.com.au/show/115040 and it gives a couple of clues as to likely forward direction. Tanzania is inferred to be formally started in the (very?) short term, whereas the term 'few months' is applied to Coburn. I doubt I would be talking out of school to say the sentiment in the company is that the refined product case is 'a no-brainer', and the extension case is happening but just a 'job to do' to formalise it in accordance with JORC standards, somewhere down the road. I guess when you have studied enough geological data over your time, things like drilling pattern density are more important in some minerals than others, and only market driven investors looking for 'certainty' think they are all the same...
Re comments on POSCO, perhaps it is not known how hard-arsed / unreasonable the Korean negotiators were as they saw, with sliding market conditions, how unlikely a bonanza was going to be from this prospective investment .vs. others. So they preserved their required outcomes and Gunson copped it in the neck. Hardly fair to shift that to the recipient... It's just how things are sometimes, with your 'reality filter' firmly on. I don't blame the Koreans either - the time just wasn't right then. To stuff it up now would be an entirely different matter, but that is hardly likely given the team and circumstances prevailing. Still an open dance card but, looking for romance...
