Hi Falcon,

You are concerned they are still doing the plant detailed design while the earthworks are progressing? I can tell you from first hand experience that this happens on EVERY large industrial project (except maybe FPSO’s ). All of the significant work packages are being executed under lump sump D&C contracts that were awarded many months back. They also have a chunky contingency (approx 20% from the figures in their equity raising presentation). Cost overruns are always a risk on large projects, but you are jumping at shadows at this point.

I must say that I like what I’ve seen of Luke Graham in the presentations. He seems like more of a hands on guy with a deep understanding of how to run a project. It’s a welcome change from the large majority of numpty senior management I’ve come across in my working life.
