The Strandline dfs table is below.
I assume they meant premium (not primary) zircon.
.10 is the normal spec for iron in premium zircon.
The .14 Fe2O3 STA spec is the trade off between recovery and grade, from testwork..... in the lab.
The STA zircon is badly iron stained. Although colour is not a spec it is important to most clients.
Comment that they are producing standard grade zircon, usually min 65.0 ZrO2 max .25 TiO2 and max ?Fe2O3 (negotiable with some clients), is a good indicator of difficulty meeting the premium spec in the real world of the msp.
An earlier Shaws report stated 97% zircon recovery at wcp. (spin doctored report?)

In the msp the dried mineral goes to corona stats (High Tension Rolls) 5 primary and 5 secondary.
HTR machines put a charge on the mineral, the high tension (abt 24kv for corona stats) as it is spread thinly across a rotating metal roll 1800 wide and abt 350 diameter. Conductors lose their charge and are thrown off, non conductors stick and are brushed off further around.
The ilmenite is a good conductor (29%iron) and should go fwd from the primary corona stats and not to the secondary circuit.
The separation of hiti / rutile from zircon in the secondary circuit is more difficult.
    Weak conductors from non conductors.
No mention of a hiti or rutile product yet.
Any conductor misreporting to the non conductor circuit will go with the zircon qtz ally etc to the zircon wet circuit.
The zircon wet circuit is where the ally qtz etc (the other 5% from the 95hm% hmc) is rejected.
The wet circuit product is dried and once again goes to high tension machines ( TiO2 removal) and then a magnet for monazite control.
Zircon recovery to product v zircon to zic would be a very interesting number to know.
