"The STA zircon is badly iron stained"... interesting to know. If it's a problem, at worst, an acid leach circuit should clean it up. If it was going to be a problem, why wasn't an acid wash wasn't included in the dry plant?
For those having trouble following kcf's description, below circuit diagram might help. Met is not my strong point, so I'm also struggling to understand how a decades old min sand separation process into the 4 traditional products (ilmenite, rutile (+ leucoxene = HiTi), zircon and zircon concentrate) for a relatively coarse-grained deposit is proving so difficult... It's not a simple process by any means, but it's now a new one either.
