Guess it depends on the definition of years. Is years being the plural of year meaning at least 2yrs? If you bought late 2020 and no longer hold now then that most likely does not make it two years and thus not years.
My personal take is 12 months is a year, two years is a couple of years, years on its own would be at least three years.
But to each to their own way of thinking. At least you have sold while no longer believing in the company as many don't and just stew on being in the red, but then again maybe you will wish you hadn't in 5 - 6 months time.
