    I think it is pharma companies getting ahead of the curve, as regulatory approvals are slowly moving towards measuring the impact on cognition for all experimental drugs/therapies and not just ones focused on brain activity. In Europe all trials for children are required to now have cognitive assessment, and as we learn more about brain activity and development it wouldn't surprise me for that to expand to adults in the future as well.
