Legit questions that I think are worth asking & considering:
Assuming BHP have found a resource worth mining (likely), we know the intercepts begin around depth of 1km and extend for up to around 400m.
1) What is the probability that this mine would be open pit?
2) If the mine is open pit to a depth of up to 1.4km, what distance around it would be necessary to ensure the necessary slopes, access etc?
I ask because I’m no engineer but it seems highly likely to me that an open pit of 1+ km depth would have pit walls extending beyond 2km. Into CHK land if you get my drift.
