The rotary kiln body is 16mm carbon steel and has refractory lining which can handle 870⁰c to 1,202⁰c, when installed it will have a 3 degree downward slope.

There are two methods of heating...

1: Direct fired - This is when gas is combusted in a heating chamber so it doesn't come into contact with the material being dried or can be directed (flamethrower-like) down the whole chamber.

2: Indirect - This is when the kiln is heated externally during operation. Normally achieved by gas and air piping to the side or wrapped around the kiln.

I'm aware of the ongoing complaints regarding management wages and SP but this kiln will achieve our waste-to-energy, char production and Coldry manufacture requirements.

I can only assume it will be used for testing of each process before upscaling.
