Interesting the comment by someone that the Monzonite looks more weathered. It is not weathering, rather a change in the typical porphyry zoned alteration resulting in the chemical breakdown of feldspars (some of the white minerals) in the Phyllic zone to kaolinite in the Potassic zone...kaolinite is part of the clay mineral family! This indicates they are getting closer to the 'core' of the porphyry, and should be lower in sulphides and mineralisation. This single hole looks to have drilled straight down the porphyry as shown on their schematic image. What does this mean? Yes they have confirmed finding a porphyry, yes it has some mineralisation (chalcopyrite is Cu bearing). However they have almost certainly missed the 'high grade' mineralisation. Look at page 14 of this presentation from USGS for a clear model for these deposit types noting location of ore (http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/2008/1321/pdf/OF081321_508.pdf). High grade porphyry mineralisation predominantly sits on the sides of porphyry deposits!! Here is another link showing the same ore location (http://m.geosphere.gsapubs.org/content/2/3/161.figures-only). The high grade ore is probably a few hundred metres away on the sides on the deposit core between the Phyllic and potassic zones, like a ring shaped halo. ICG just need to find it and they are close. I note that their SP IP anomaly is ring shaped...IP is used to identify sulphides, you join the dots! The arsenopyrite is a good sign too, we should see related gold in the results.
