I believe that AMEUF are unsponsored ADRs, which means that at some time in the past a US financial institution bought a bunch of AVR then went through the process to have them quoted in USD by OTC Markets and provided to US market makers. So Anteris may not have had any involvement in that.
I've wanted an upgrade for quite some time as AMEUF aren't handled by the central US depository so they aren't offered for trading by some brokerages and are pretty much the lowest rung of the ladder when it comes to OTC stocks that are current in their financials, and AMEUF liquidity reflects that.
I also believe that having the sponsored ADRs may take the process an extra step beyond most companies that trade OTC as it may involve Anteris filing with US Securities and Exchange Commission as well as the ASX. That would give US investors, specifically institutions as Wayne mentioned in the PR, access to disclosure through the SEC's EDGAR search system, which is probably a requirement for some institutions to invest in a stock.
This could be a move to get it done quickly in time for a capital raise and I'll keep an eye on EDGAR to see if any docs are filed initializing the process. We can also move off the OTC, which isn't an exchange just a market among broker dealers, onto an exchange such as Nasdaq or NYSE and this could help facilitate that. I still think the new Cboe US listing may be an option as well. Good times.
