Rights cannot be "signed away" under duress. The fact that the GoG would not agree without that add on, constitutes duress. Also, the fact that GoG had to have that add on, indicates that they may have been planning to deny the ML all along.
Again, I would recommend that the GoG issue that ML rather than let this thing go to trial.
