I might also add when they retested Blina (pre-covid, which put paid to further investigation) one zone was tight and after an initial flush they produced a steady 700bopd for several days in the zone that previously produced, which was surprising considering how many years it produced and was subject to natural decline.

The Poole and Grant reservoirs are clastic (sandstone) reservoirs similar to the previously discovered shallow oil pools on the Lennard Shelf in the vicinity of the legacy Blina Oilfield.

The reason they conducted this test at Blina was to figure out if the remaining limited number of barrels of oil was worth producing. If Shallow works, maybe they’ll do the maths again.
