What about not keeping the market properly informed? I'm of the opinion that management eventually changed the wording of A2 to a 'proof of concept well' as a nicer way of saying it was a failure. You can't tell me someone drills a well without the sole intention of finding oil/gas to sell. Finding that beaker of oil was the worst thing to ever happen to NWE and turned the well into a Science experiment.
Management have lost their way, lost their vision and overall lost the shareholders a lot of money. I was fortunate to have gotten out at the top a few years ago but could never have predicted such steep downfall from thereon.
From the outside looking in now I do chuckle at the recent announcement being perceived as a glowingly positive. March 2012 (over 3 years ago) we were excited to see the fraccing schedule locked in for A2. 3 YEARS ago.
The results of 3D seismic won't be available till Q3 2015 (ie probably Q4 2015 or Q1 2016), then they'll have to choose a location, drill it, frac it etc etc.
We're talking a year till they MIGHT start drilling a new location. What urgency is there to invest right now?
1.3 billion shares on offer, $6-7mill market cap. It's a long diluted road to ~ 100mill market cap from here. Assuming the day ever did happen, the share price might only be 1 or 2 cents.
I wouldn't be promoting this as anything more than a high risk spec share that you put in your bottom drawer and only check back in 5-10years. Invest only what you're prepared to lose entirely much like the casino or open yourself up to being hurt.
