Your post D & S shows that you never followed the story properly or you never understood what was happening.
I do congratulate you on selling out at the highs.
The drilling of the well was always a proof of concept well. Go back to the original announcements and reread them. The excitement of it becoming a production well came from the AGM where the American experts were of the opinion that the High Cliff Sandstones would be commercial and it was reported here on copper by Markob. They came to this conclusion after studing the core samples from the original A2 vertical well.
Management never announced that it would be a commercial well but they like a lot of the rest of us believed that they may be right and they too got excited and who could blame them. What turned out to be the case was that the seal between the HCSS and the Irwin River Coal seam was intact and therefore the HCSS was not charged with gas. When the well was vertically fracced it fractured that seal allowed the gas from the IRCS to escape into the HCSS zone and that was the initial gas flow that we got which appeared to be high. 777K standard cubic feet per day after only 1 week or so of cleanup flow back. This was not known or understood until the wire line logging tool was put down into the zone and the flow rates from each level were measured.
Until NWE did this fraccing of the verticle well, there was no proof that fraccing the structures would work here in Australia and the gas would flow. We now know that it will and that we have a rich hydrocarbon resource to harvest.
The next step in the process is to do the seismic so that the subsurface structures can be mapped accurately and the A3 well is designed to maximise the outcome.
