I have posted extensively on what I think about the shales.
They're great.

NWE doesn't have a shale problem. They have a commercial/financial problem wrt survival in the first instance and shareholder returns. Unfortunately, much of that is down to the disposition of management and their inability to comprehend the financial urgency and instead opting for long drawn out academic experiments.

It's important to understand this and make the distinction.
