I was particularly interested by this paragraph in the announcement yesterday:

The significant body of works on the Talisman deeps project is nearing completion. Following the initial technical work such will be peer reviewed to ensure conformity with JORC 2012. The work being undertaken provides significant potential for expanded operations at the extensions of the mine and are likely to be complete by the end of Q1.

Now, I contacted the company who told me that "Q1" is a typo and was meant to read "Q2". Not sure why they haven't corrected the announcement but doesn't really bother me, it was pretty obvious that it wasn't talking about the past.

So, what this means is that the Talisman Deeps review of historic information on Level 8 downwards appears to be coming to an end. I am interested because if they may be able to annouce a JORC Code 2012 compliant mineral resource - imagine that, a resource proved up without even having to do any drilling. I know the Code pretty well, if nothing else they could identify an Exploration Target and give an indication as to grades and even that is still a JORC Code 2012 compliant statement in itself.

So, let's see how that pans out - judging by the hints as to grades and the discussion in old announcements about how extensive the historical information is, it may be that Talisman Deeps becomes an in-ground asset overnight!
