@DaBeast - 'competitive or cheaper than electrolysis'

IMO competitive or cheaper than pyrolysis, as at present their niche market is 'waste methane' that would otherwise be burnt + CO2 or go to waste as GHG & pyrolysis is the only other way of dealing with that. I guess technically the HAZER process is a 'catalyst' assisted type of pyrolysis but who cares, as long as it is cheaper & they develop some amazing high tech graphite/graphene IP for the grapite 'by-product' then we are good to go. JUst think of all the 'waste' methane sources around the world, waste water, rubbish dumps, high organic matter food processing waste - wow. The only 'issue' is getting iron ore catalysts to the site cheaply but HZR are doing lots of R&D on iron ore catalysts so chances are they will develop some 'closed loop' catalyst that will be cleaned/scrubbed in some way & reused.

The only process that will not use such a 'closed loop' catalyst, if it is developed, will IMO, be the green steel industry where they will want the iron ore beneficiation during the HAZER process - I wonder if/when Twiggy Forrest will twig to that one

IMO HAZER will have the 'waste' methane business tied up. Competing in the global hydrogen supply market on cost & 'green' credentials is another matter as there are many amazing technologies being developed, it is a wait & see game at present.
