ASX have competing priorities. Yes, they must investigate to a certain level to ensure compliance and enforcement of listing rules but they also have an obligation to ensure the market is informed as things progress.
By having an obligation to keep the market informed it also means that their investigative activities naturally must become far more public than those of say ASIC.
