I emailed the Chairman with words to that effect. These stocks are all about dividends, no one reads anything else in their releases. Not surprised about the Buyback but they have $43m cash - to not pay a dividend is stock suicide.
The bottom line is the Aussie directors would obviously know this, but at the end of the day they don't have the power to choose the dividend. Sure, they can bring it up at the Board meeting, but it won't get actioned. What can the non-executive directors actually do? Not much.
