I don't think there was any "hype" in the update. It was the first webinar by the new CEO. Having held this stock since 2016 I was very disappointed (to put it mildly) with the delays to the CDP. Many were also gutted and this reflected in the share price. Glenn Corrie's presentation was assured and positive in outlook. He has been in the role for some months and is clearly comfortable with the direction he, BOD and senior leadership have set. He specifically acknowledged the setbacks and concerns of shareholders. I don't disagree this is still speculative with many specific unknowns - will scale up be successful, will the two products be able to be produced at competitive prices, will the graphitic carbon have applications where it is profitable, what, where and how many commercial plants will be/could be built and operated and, if so, under what commercial terms? Despite the questions, I remain positive about the tech, the team and the benefits in (essential) energy transition.
