When you go to market with a therapeutic product, marketed at GP, you'll use pharma sales reps to encourage GPs / Specialists to prescribe the drug. If your product at market hasn't gone through all the hoops at testing, your competing sales rep will pull it apart "ah, but they haven't tested their for stability yet, you should prescribe our product". Getting a drug to market is a long expensive process. The best thing about cannabis products is it grows on tress, is a simple solvent extraction and heat based activation so production is relatively cheap.
