I really enjoy broker data analysis - to me, it makes far more sense than relying on technical indicators, which I personally find less meaningful.
I'm better at working with data, analyzing it, and spotting patterns, rather than trying to be an expert in gold, lithium, uranium, biotech, etc. I have great respect for people who truly understand those fields - like geophysics or biosciences - but I know I lack that depth of knowledge. I don’t think I could ever match, let alone surpass, the research teams working at professional brokers.
By analyzing broker data, I can track what clients of those brokers are buying and selling, which helps me better time my entries and exits - and more importantly, avoid catching a falling knife, which I’ve definitely done many times in the past.
At the end of the day, it’s up to each person:
Fall in love with a company, believe in it, wait, and possibly suffer financially... or
Stay agile, follow the data, and time your trades more effectively.
That’s how I see it. I share this data because I genuinely want to hear how others interpret it, or learn more about a company if broker data suggests there’s something going on. I give something, I take something.
