Except that it was very difficult and Pfeizer gave up trying to do it with their Viagra drug because it just didn't work. That drug keeps coming out of solution through crystallization. The best part for us was that they never made their attempt public during the patent process because if they did, we wouldn't be able to lodge patent applications for ours as the idea of an ED drug in nasal spray would no longer be considered to be novel.
By contrast, LTP has made their patent claim public meaning no one can ever lodge a patent for the same idea EVER. That's because it will not be considered novel for anyone else. That acts as a very large disincentive for anyone to spend big dollars to try and come up with a competing product as they won't be able to patent it, regardless of the outcome of our patents.
That puts LTP in a great position.
Regarding the licensing deal, read prospectus for full details but some important details are that the term is for a further 15 years;
More importantly, the patents will be transferred to LTP so the licence deal term (another 15 years) becomes far less important after patents are granted and transferred to LTP.
