btw I don’t like Chinese cars nor Chinese electrical vehicle. I also think their quality is bad. And would not ever buy one. But I am also not representative for the typical car buyer.
Obviously they (BYD, NIO, zeekr, li, Xpeng, Geely, lyk, Xiaomi,…) do something right. And they are carried by massive homebase (loyal) Chinese buyers and state support.
and like in any other big wave, not all Chinese EV-manufacturers will survive.
and also fine for me if they build plenty EV cars in china. Let them consume Chinese NdPr.
so the world needs Arafura‘s Ndpr not only because it’s none-Chinese and EsG compliant, but also because it’s a question of supply shortage…
same btw for Chinese renewables. China is adding multi GE of Windpower per year. Good for the local industry and partially for some western sub-suppliers. And good for consuming REE.
