I agree with both sides. The title is misleading, and designed to imply that the Government had a personalised approach to providing funding. Second, the poster trying to stir the pot by ripping into the announcement, try reading the announcement properly rather than "searching" the announcement for your information-bias. It clearly said two grants and you only found one of them.

The Government doesn't have a personal interest in our project or research. You tick the boxes for eligibility purposes, and you get your grant funding.

I'm not particularly interested in the covid-fighting "industry". Everyone is trying to claim their product kills covid. I think it's going to end up like the hand sanitizer debacle where everyone was trying to get in on the action.

On the flip side, it's good to get positive study results as we get new products, new markets, etc. So long as they're not trying to pin everything on the miracle covid cure.
