Yep. Checked DW out again today. Very busy. Had a chat with a couple of the staff, one of whom has been there ten years. Things are picking up. Management did a lot of team building trainings with the staff post the tragedy, and that has helped. Staff moral is high and the staff have a lot of respect for management, especially for the CEO, Craig Davidson. They describe DW as a great place to work.
Still, they expect it will take a year all up to return to the same numbers as earlier last year. Well that's only about 4 months off. Really not bad numbers today for a winter Sunday outside of school hols.
Re the September vote. I have read the proposal from Ariadne, but note they did not comment on the impact of the tragedy last year on the sp. They simply put the slump down to poor governance in general and lacklustre management of Main Event in particular. Also, no mention at all of their plans for DW. That is a little disconcerting.
