When things are going well, and a deal is imminent, management don’t batten down the hatches and cut their salaries. For those willing to pay attention to clues, this is a key indicator that it ain’t going well, and it’s more likely than not that they’ll either have to cut an extremely dilutive and exploitative deal to proceed with the Renard option, or they’ll have to forgo the opportunity.
