- The presentation announcing the acquisition says that it was always intended for Eduard Eshuys to jump from the NTM Board to the Dacian Board, and that NTM's exploration team would move across as well (wonder how they are going?).
As noted above, Ian Cochrane also resigned with immediate effect from Perenti on health grounds - he is about 66 years old - so I take the Dacian announcement at face value. It looks like he holds about 670,000 DCN shares so he holds a substantial but not a dominant bundle of shares. As an aside Leigh Junk holds about 1,000,000 shares plus a fair whack of incentive shares if he can keep the company on the road for another 3 or 4 years.
I wonder who has the whip hand now on the board? Leigh Junk or Eduard Eshuys? There could a silver lining in that there will be fresh eyes to look at the issues that Dacian are still working through and maybe a change in the power balance on the board. Seems likely that Ian Cochrane brought Leigh Junk into Dacian and Leigh Junk has been in control long enough to be judged on his performance.
