Well, I think it's safe to say that out of the available options the least likely is that it was retail. That fund/insto is buying up to $20 million of them in a minute suggests to me that despite the already elevated price it could be going much higher.
Just saw an interview with Josh Wolfe, a tech VC wallah from Lux Capital, talking about Auris Health (robotic surgery), a company he invested in seed capital of USD20 million, raised another $80 million from Peter Thiel three years ago, and recently sold the whole shooting match to J&J for USD6 billion. Auris is earlier stage than PME.
Helped put the potential out there for me.
