My apologies bosswho. I did think you were one and the same.

What was pleasing for me yesterday was the fact that less then 40,000 dollars worth of stock sold out on Friday. That suggests to me that the vast majority of VRC shareholders are mature enough and savy enough to understand the process that VRC are currently undertaking to get to the next level of becoming a producer. I remember being involved with Oxiana many years ago when it was a 1c stock and looking to raise money to become a gold and copper producer in Laos. Oxiana owns and operates the Sepon gold and copper mines in Laos. The Company also has exploration projects at Prominent Hill in South Australia, Laos,Thailand, China, Philippines and Cyprus.
There were all sorts of obstacles that they had to jump over to get to their destination. Owen Hegarty was the man in charge . He was the founder of Oxiana, which eventually merged with zinc producer Zinifex to become Oz Minerals. It nearly went under during the global financial crisis. Today it boasts a market cap of over 3 billion dollars and a share price around ten dollars. Not bad for a company that was close to winding up during the GFC in 2008.
The firm I worked for at the time became the main player in organising placements for Oxiana in it's early days. We were the lead broker and I got to know Owen very well. He was a driven man and was hell bent on achieving his goals to make sure Oxiana would become a major player in the gold and copper industries. He became a very well respected Director who received many accolades for what he achieved with Oxiana under his leadership.
His enthusiasm was infectious and when there were problems in the early years he just took them in his stride and got on with the job at hand.
Most of my clients who bought into the story below 5c sold out between 1 and 2 dollars. Some went along for the ride and eventually got out around the 3 dollar mark. It was great to see so many loyal clients achieve financial success with their initial investment. It didn't happen over night
but their patience was rewarded greatly.
This is the reason I place so much emphasis on those who are running the show . My experience in the past when investing in particular stocks has often been because of the confidence I have in those that are leading the charge. I do see some similarities between Owen and Trevor and that is they are always enthusiastic when they are talking about the projects that they are involved in. In the early days Owen was not scared to get his hands dirty and go the extra mile to achieve the end result. He was not put off by minor setbacks. He relished the challenge and eventually achieved great success when many doubted he would. Because I was reasonably close to the story I knew the mountains he had to climb.
I see similar characteristics in Trevor, and for that reason I have remained committed as a shareholder for this duration. If Trevor can achieve just one tenth of what OZL has managed to achieve, anyone who currently owns shares in VRC will be very nicely rewarded.

    Cheers.
