As corrupt Malawi is in my opinion there has been a multi international effort by many relevant authorities and individuals to see eiti and the like are adhered to.
Malawi themselves have established a department for everything but the kitchen sink to ensure best practices are followed.
Mutharika's days of President appear all but over - he's done nothing for country and people - by 2019 election he'll be gone and a new prospective era for Malawi will hopefully begin for Malawians.
Electricity - food -mining revenue - education - medical - transport - and so on. Currently mega international donor money and revenue goes only to corrupt elite - it's nothing new but the people are sick to death of it.
Think not of Tanzania but next door Mozambique - that's who they will emulate.
